As Mayor, my goal is to build upon the solid foundation begun by Mayor Dr. Clifford E. DeBaptiste, who in 1994 began turning this town around - from a shuttered main street into a thriving community.
Being Mayor of West Chester, PA is certainly a labor of love, one which I have gladly taken on!
A West Chester resident since she was school age, Lillian was educated in West Chester public schools & graduated with a BA in Psychology from West Chester University. Lillian also holds a degree in Mortuary Science from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science
Active in the community, Lillian has served on the boards
of many civic organizations including:
The Chester County Community Foundation
The Charles A. Melton Arts & Education Center
Planned Parenthood of Chester County
West Chester Police Department Diversity Task Force
Lillian has been the leader of businesses that serve our community: President and Director of DeBaptiste Funeral Homes for more than four decades, and the President and CEO of Milestone Events for more than a decade.
Lillian serves in all her roles with integrity. A businesswoman,
a daughter, a wife, a mom & a ‘Gaga’ to her grandchildren...
West Chester is made up of people from all walks of life. As Mayor,I will continue to work to enhance and ensure that our ARTS & Culture is reflective of our residents. I was very successful working on both PorchFest and the Juneteenth Celebration which are now 2 new successful additions to our cultural arts.
Balance is necessary to thrive, we must support the small businesses that make our town so vibrant. As Mayor, I have enjoyed welcoming and supporting our many new and diverse small businesses by both promoting and attending ribbon cuttings.
As previous mayors have done, I have continued the initiatives to keep this town both CLEAN & GREEN by collaborating with the West Chester Police and West Chester University for the West Chester Clean Up Days. I have also given seed packets, native seedlings, and recycled/reusable ‘baggies’ to our citizens.
Diversity is one of my longtime goals as a long time advocate for equity and equality. I have been pleased to have hired qualified WC Police Officers representing diverse backgrounds.
Thank you for helping us get Lillian elected!! It is never too early to start thinking about the next election! See you at the polls on Tue, May 20, 2025!!
