As Mayor, my goal will be to build upon the solid foundation begun by Mayor Dr. Clifford E. DeBaptiste, who in 1994 began turning this town around - from a shuttered main street into a thriving community. Being Mayor of West Chester, PA is certainly a labor of love, one which I will gladly take on!
The date is approaching fast! Mail in your ballots ASAP! Or we'll see you at the polls! Polls are open from 7am - 8pm. Tue, May 18.
The arts are a way that we can all share what is most important to us: our diverse cultures and family histories, our struggles and triumphs, and our explorations and discoveries. Lillian will provide opportunities to see and share the stories that together make up West Chester. What better way to do this than through cultural celebrations, music, poetry, spoken word, great food, and fellowship.
We are now facing a significant deficit in our budget which impacts the quality of life of our residents. As an entrepreneur, Lillian is faced with finance challenges every day. Balancing the budget effectively is paramount to the health of our town. Lillian will bring all of her business skills & knowledge to the job.
Keeping our beautiful town pristine and our planet and citizens healthy is essential. Previous mayors have adopted environmental initiatives to keep this town both clean and green and we must continue to invest in and implement increasingly sustainable ways of living. The earth is in crisis, and it is our duty to repair and revitalize our corner of the world here in West Chester, PA.
2020 was a year which reminded us that the work of social and racial justice is far from being done, that equality and equity are not the same thing, and that we all deserve life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Lillian understands that diversity is more than just a photo or a word. She is ready to make West Chester a more equitable and inclusive place all throughout our town.
